Reflection essay
Emiliano Gael Ortiz Jiménez
Literatura y Filosofía
When I heard I was going to do a project about Covid-19 with other four persons, who I did not know, I thought that it was going to be very difficult. First, because I don´t have edition skills. Second, I´m studying literature and philosophy and my range of skills narrows to one: writing. I didn´t even understand how to form the groups, so I met the first members just to talk. We stablished a time for us to reunite. They, all women, started to talk about what they were studying, they were all studying either architecture or graphic design. It was kind of odd, because they talked about professors, skills, and I was there, talking about writing.
So, in a very fortunate way, we found out that we all were very interested in art. So, we made our project about how art saved us. And that was, for me, very poetic. I proposed to do an infographic, a simple one, buy they, all creative, decided that it was better to a do a whole video. I agreed, in exchange to do the script, because I´m bad at designing stuff. They agreed. Just to make a clarification: they were amazing, and we had a lot in common, they have become my very good friends.
The elaboration was good. At night, I started to write like one of my poems, and it was natural. They loved my writings, so they started making the edition of the video. I participated as well, designing my character.
I learned how to do a project with people that you don´t even know their face. I´d change nothing at all. I loved our project, and I hope that I know Fer, Jessy and Andrea for real. I´m looking forward to doing it.
